这款酒严选自 Aconcagua Valley 内陆的 MAX I 与 MAX V 葡萄园精华地块。 MAX I 位于历史悠久的 Don Maximiano Estate，拥有山坡地形与富含云母的沙壤土；MAX V 则座落于河流冲积平原，受太平洋凉风影响更深，造就了这款酒优异的平衡感与优雅结构。

2021 年生长季凉爽且漫长，葡萄缓慢成熟，不仅保留了新鲜果香，更赋予酒液浓郁色泽与丝滑单宁。酿造方面，采用 85% Carmenere、11% Syrah 与 4% Malbec 混酿，并于法国橡木桶中陈酿 22 个月（60% 新桶），展现出极致的复杂度与陈年潜力。

酒色呈深邃暗红色，鼻息间充满黑莓、蓝莓香气，伴随胡椒、红椒粉、薰香、橄榄酱、新鲜无花果及烘焙咖啡豆的细腻香调。入口后，橄榄、蓝莓与无花果风味交织，点缀着豆蔻、白胡椒与烤红椒的气息，酸度优良，口感线性且深长，单宁细致如丝，令人回味无穷。

Errazuriz Kai 2021 is the pinnacle of Viña Errázuriz’s Carmenere. KAI, meaning "plant" in Mapudungun, embodies the ultimate expression of Chile’s emblematic variety and the unique character of the Aconcagua Valley.

Sourced from the best blocks of the MAX I and MAX V vineyards, the grapes benefit from the unique Aconcagua Valley terroir. MAX I offers hillside complexity with its diorite and mica-rich soils, while MAX V, situated on an alluvial plain near the Aconcagua River, is cooled by ocean breezes, ensuring exceptional balance and elegance.

The 2021 season was moderately cool with slow ripening, allowing for intense color development and silky, ripe tannins. The final blend of 85% Carmenere, 11% Syrah, and 4% Malbec was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new, contributing to its remarkable complexity and ageing potential.

It displays a deep, dark red color, with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, pepper, paprika, incense, tapenade, fresh figs, and a touch of roasted coffee. On the palate, notes of olives, blueberries, and figs emerge, accompanied by nutmeg, white pepper, and roasted red pepper. The good acidity provides linearity, while the polished tannins caress the palate with a long, sophisticated finish.
